Dear fans, what are your thoughts on your team's performance today?
Good afternoon.
Bad for Portsmouth, good for Everton. I was shocked to see how Chelsea played, but hey, Everton lost 1-6 on the bloody opening day, so they should get over it. Chelsea have got to solve their mess quickly, as they still have to play MU, Arsenal and Pool home and away. Their result was to be expected.
But my biggest problem is that I've got to calm down my girlfriend right now, who is a Chelsea fan - haha... It will be an impossible task to handle her, but alas, that's how it goes sometimes.
BTW: Any comments on the CC draw?
Blackburn Rovers v Peterborough United (don't know)
Manchester City v Scunthorpe United (easy)
Tottenham Hotspur v Everton (nice)
Barnsley v Manchester United (easy)
Chelsea v Bolton Wanderers (no comment)
Sunderland v Aston Villa (don't know)
Arsenal v Liverpool (great game)
Portsmouth v Stoke City (hmm)
Yours truly,
Neverton
@ Gabriel: I know, and I will - haha! Good luck next week at the Bridge =p
Good win for Everton today on the road congratulations to your team, struggled in the league early on but think you're now up to 3 in 6 wins so maybe turning the corner in the right direction, which is expected of the side who came 5th last year, also good form outside the league in europe and carling cup so could have a good season yet.
Good luck with the girlfriend mine couldn't care less about footie so never such problems.
Blackburn Rovers v Peterborough United - expect home win but Peterbrough can't be underestimated
Manchester City v Scunthorpe United - City win no probs if they play a half decent side.
Tottenham Hotspur v Everton - good match 2nd biggest tie there, see spurs coming through narrowly
Barnsley v Manchester United - not easy, in the last 4 years we've gone out twice in the carling cup both times to championship opposition and Barnsley beat both Chelsea and Liverpool in the 2008 FA cup so can't take the tie for granted but you'd still expect them to be good enough to go through.
Chelsea v Bolton Wanderers - Chelsea win in a not particularly exciting game I reckon very different to last years 4-3
Sunderland v Aston Villa - Villa in extra time
Arsenal v Liverpool - game of the round think Arsenal will win if both sides use youngsters and reserves in a good match, Liverpool to win if they go full strength as don't expect Arsenal to play anything other then kids, still I hope Arshavin plays
Portsmouth v Stoke City - Pompey win finally giving them something to cheer about
