Predator Club Soccer
Does it matter what kind of soccer boots you use?

Im currently playing club and varsity soccer at my high school, and I just wanted to know:

Will upgrading to a more "expensive" cleat be worth it? I currently have some very cheap adidas (bought them for about 30$) and they don't effect my performance at all. Will my control, etc, improve if I were to upgrade to some [Adidas Predator Absolion PS TRX FG Cleats] or some [Adidas F30.9]?

Thanks.

Yes it's is very important , regarding the comfort and avoiding the possible injuries.
First , you need to decide what kind of field you are playing at.
I believe , you guys mostly play on hard-dry fields.
That would lead you do chose a FG(firm ground) or HG(hard ground) boot. These usually come with around 12-15 cleats on shoe. The cleats on these shoes are mostly made of compound of plastic and rubber so they can suspend and protect your feet of the hard ground.
The great example of this kind would be Adidas Copa Mundial - the old timer that will always stick around. They run around $90.The Air Legend(FG) by Nike ($130).Maybe even Puma King(FG) around $100.
You have some cheaper repliqas from them.
The diference between the top models and the repliqas is mainly in the materials they are made of.The premium models are made of kangaroo leather which make 'em to be very comfortable. The cheaper versions are made of calf leather or some sitnthetic materials.
The cheaper versions should run around $50.
Now , if it happens to play on wet pitch , chose some soft ground (SG) cleats.
They usually have 6 to 10 cleats on boot. The cleats are made of harder materials , so they can get grip easily on the wet ground.
Th cleats are sort of longer then the cleats of the FG boot.
The great example of this shoe would be , Adidas Predator SG ($200) then you got Nike Total90 Lasser (SG)($180) , Adidas World Cup ($120), Nike Mercurial Vapor SG ($200).
There are cheaper versions of this as well.
So ,after all this , if you have $90 to spear , my best all weather pick would be the Adidas Copa Mundial.
But, whichever shoe you pick make sure they snug on your feet, so you can hve better touch of the ball. For that purpose , at least try to buy any LEATHER shoe.
As for control and better performance , don't expect miracles.Lil' iprovement realy.
If you force Ronaldhino or Ronaldo play barefoot, you wouldn't notice much of a difference then their regular play... except they would get injured much easier.
