Junior Kids Football
Why didn't this happen with football?

I'm a junior in a public high school in California and my school is very international, like you get kids from literally everywhere. So I've noticed this.
Basketball: Mostly black/white kids but still has quiet a few kids from other places.
Soccer: Some kids are black/white/latino and some are Asians, a lot of Arabs etc but definitely more international kids.
Football: Basically all black/white. (My school, don't know about anyone else's but for most of the meets we have with other schools its pretty much the same, and I've been on the team since middle school).

Why does football remain (for the most part) not so international, even for international kids who have been here since kindergarten?

It's because football is purely an American sport. It's origins are in America so the children haven't been exposed to it as much by their parents who are probably from another country. Soccer and Basketball are both sports that are played internationally. Actually in most other places in the world soccer is known as Futbol (football) which actually makes more sense seeing as you actually use your foot to control the ball. The closest international sport to football would be Rugby which is played mostly in Britain. All countries have "their" sport which kind of stays within the boundaries of the country. Football just happens to be "our" sport.

Hope that helps. :)
