How is the dating scene for Black women in Spain?
I’m a black American, and in about a year I’ll be visiting Spain. My hope is that in another two years, I’ll be able to move to Spain to teach elementary. I've talked to classmates that studied abroad, and have read plenty of articles and answers here on Yahoo about the large number of African prostitutes in Spain. I realize that the treatment of Black female tourists and expats due to prostitution is often, to say the least, annoying, but I want to know are there any real opportunities to meet and date men in Spain?
And what about bi-racial men? I see lots of black or AfroHispanic and bi-racial futbol players on TV, so I know they’re in Europe. But where would I go or what should I do to meet not-so-famous men of color?
Don't get me wrong. I'm not concerned with skin color/race; I like men, period. My concern is, as a Black woman, what are my chances of meeting someone that will accept me?
In my opinion, the dating market is great in Spain. I used to live in Granada and I currently live in Toledo, and I have had plenty of opportunities to date different kinds of men. You won't get treated like a prostitute unless you dress and/or act like one while out on the town. The men here aren't closed minded and they appreciate the fact that you may be different than what they are used to dating. If you are wanting to meet only Black men though, you'd have an easier chance of that in the major cities.
